2 World Trade Center is the capstone in the redevelopment of the World Trade Center. Located at 200 Greenwich St. and bounded by Church Street to the east, Vesey Street to the north, and Fulton Street to the south, the tower will rise to 1,226 feet.
In February 2026, American Express announced its plan to build its new global headquarters at 2 World Trade Center. It is the final commercial office space building on the World Trade Center Campus.
Designed by Foster + Partners (Base), the design of 2 World Trade Center features flexible and modern workspaces and world-class amenities. The 55-story building will span over nearly 2 million square feet. A defining feature of the headquarters is its expansive outdoor spaces with greenery-filled terraces and gardens that bring nature into the vertical workplace. Completion is expected in 2031.
The building is connected to the Oculus, providing direct access to 12 subway lines and PATH trains. A public plaza at the foot of the building and access to 350,000 square feet of shopping and restaurants in the adjacent transportation hub and concourses will ensure life and activity in and around the new World Trade Center.
